Person at the front desk mentioned we might be able to check in early. She told us to come back a little afternoon, and our room was ready. “It’s a nice, quaint place. The staff was friendly, when they were there. The front desk closes early so there isn’t anyone there to help. I was a bit disappointed that the fireplace in the common area was never on so sitting in the common area was cold. The bedroom and bathroom were clean but the bed and especially the pillows were very uncomfortable. Bring your own pillows. Breakfast was delicious. Location to the mountain was great and had shuttle service. I would go back with a little less...

“The Inn was so beautifully decorated and the landscaping was incredible! The view out every window had a spectacular view of Squam Lake and the fall foliage. Breakfast was included and was very delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Squam Lake Inn. Check in/out were both simple, there was ample parking (off season and the restaurant wasn’t open so this may change in the high season), and our room was very comfortable. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and were so pleased with the atmosphere. There is a lovely coffee bar and book shelf with some games. “This is an average facility. Nice if you’re doing a quick overnight. The hot water was rusty and somewhat of an oil feel. Not sure what was going on there. The heater was working part of the night and wasn’t heating up as expected.”

“The property is 20 minutes from Waterville Valley resort. It is quiet and makes a good base for winter activities. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The indoor pool, hot tub and games are great for families.”
